Roster
The roster is the list of athletes you can tag clips to. In Phase 1, RepRecap supports one team. (Multi-team support is on the backlog.)
Adding athletes
- Open the Team tab.
- Tap Add athlete.
- Type the name. First name is enough — you can use just "Sophia" if no one else on the roster shares that name.
- Tap Save.
Repeat for each athlete. Order doesn't matter — names appear alphabetically in the picker.
Editing a name
- In the Team tab, tap the athlete's name.
- Edit.
- Tap Save.
Renaming an athlete updates the name on every clip and reel that was tagged to them. The Photos album for the team is also renamed automatically (see Where clips live).
Removing an athlete
- In the Team tab, tap the athlete's name.
- Tap Remove.
- Confirm.
What happens to clips tagged to that athlete:
- The clips themselves are not deleted.
- The tag is removed, so the clips appear in the Library as Unassigned.
- Reels that were built from those clips are not deleted, but the reel's name card may now say "Unassigned" if it was generated from the player name.
If you want to tag the clips to a different athlete after removing the original, you can do that from the Library.
Reordering
The roster is alphabetical by default. You can change the order:
- In the Team tab, tap Reorder (top-right).
- Drag athletes by the handle on the right.
- Tap Done.
This affects the order athletes appear in the picker when tagging a clip and when building a reel. It does not affect the alphabetical order in any other list.
Jersey numbers, positions, photos?
Not in Phase 1. The roster is name-only on purpose — the minimum needed to tag clips and label reels.
If you want to track jersey numbers or positions yourself, append them to the name:
Sophia 12Maya — Setter
That works fine; the picker shows the full name string.
One team only — what does that mean?
If you coach two teams, you'd run two copies of RepRecap. In Phase 1 there's no way to switch teams inside the app or maintain two rosters side by side. This is a known limitation, scheduled to be addressed in a future phase.
If this is blocking you, let us know — feedback prioritizes the backlog.
